PEORIA COUNTY, Ill. — Peoria County Sheriff’s Deputies were called at approximately 1:10 a.m. Sunday to a single vehicle accident on Truitt Road, near the intersection with Krause Road just outside Chillicothe.
Peoria County Sheriff Brian Asbell said 21-year-old Ethan Koch of Chillicothe, who was pronounced dead at the scene at 3:26 A.M. by the Peoria County Coroner, was the only occupant in the vehicle.
“The accident remains under investigation by our office and the Peoria County Coroner’s Office. Obviously, our thoughts and prayers go out the family and friends of the person who lost his life,” Asbell said.
The Sheriff’s Office said Koch was traveling eastbound on Truitt when his vehicle left the roadway for unknown reasons and rolled multiple times.
Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood said there would be no autopsy. A toxicology test was pending.
