PEORIA, Ill. – The Peoria City/County Health Department announced Saturday five confirmed new cases of COVID-19 in the tri-county area.
Four new confirmed cases were reported in Peoria County and one new case was confirmed in Tazewell County.
There are now 38 cases in Peoria County, 24 in Tazewell County, and 11 in Woodford County, bringing the total of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the tri-county to 73.
No new deaths were reported since Friday, keeping the area total at five, with two in Peoria County and three in Tazewell.
The Peoria City/County Health Department reported 15 of the 38 confirmed cases in Peoria County had recovered, 14 were in home isolation, and three remained hospitalized.
