PEORIA, Ill. – Autopsy results are in on one of the two of Peoria’s New Years Day homicide victims.
Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood says Bridget Ross of Peoria, 35, likely died instantly from a gunshot wound to her upper body, but was pronounced dead at a hospital about a half hour after the 4:00 a.m. Saturday shooting in the 500 block of West Martin Luther King Drive.
Ross was the second of two women killed. The first was Daniela Jackson, 33 — pronounced dead at the scene two hours earlier in the two-thousand block of Southwest Adams Street.
In each of the shootings, a male was also injured and taken to the hospital.
Results on Jackson’s autopsy are not yet available.
Anyone with information on any of three shootings that happened early Saturday is urged to call Police or CrimeStoppers.
Robert White, 27, remains wanted for the two homicides.
