(Undated) — The Illinois state legislature will have less time to work with when it comes to law-making in the New Year.
State lawmakers are scaling back legislative session dates in January due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Both the state House and Senate were supposed to be in session three days next week.
Now, it will just be Wednesday.
The following week may be cancelled as well.
The legislature is scheduled to adjourn in early April, a full month and a half before the traditional end of session date — May 31st.
