PEORIA, Ill. – A Peoria man arrested last week for a July murder has had bond set in the case at $1 million.
Court records indicate Marvin Alexander, 20, will be back in court January 20th. He was in court Monday, where a public defender was appointed to represent him.
Alexander is accused of shooting and killing De’Monyae Phelps, 19, July 20th in the 300 block of South Shelley Street — the 18th of the city’s 34 homicides this year.
Phelps’ body was found inside a vehicle in that area.
Meantime, an investigation into the case is continuing.
