PEORIA, Ill. – ‘Twas the week before Christmas
and in the River City
maybe some didn’t feel jolly
so Discover Peoria took pity
Discover Peoria Friday rounded up some volunteers and went caroling.
“We are trying to be more involved in the community, and…just very intentional in what we do,” said Alicia Calderon, Community Engagement Coordinator for the Peoria Area Convention and Visitors Bureau.
Carolers rounded up by Discover Peoria serenaded children visiting the Peoria Riverfront Museum before heading to other locales and businesses, including the Discover Peoria Pop-Up Shop at the Shoppes at Grand Prairie.
“This is just a reminder for everyone in the community that, regardless of what’s going on, the holiday is still here. The joy is real,” said Calderon.
