PEORIA, Ill. — Peoria Police confirm a man was hospitalized early Friday morning after being shot.
Peoria Public Information Officer Amy Dotson said a Shot Spotter alert came in around 1:45 a.m. from the 300 block of West McClure. 11 rounds were fired.
“A short while later, a male victim with a gunshot wound arrived at a local hospital by private vehicle. The male did sustain a gunshot wound to the buttocks,” Dotson said.
The man’s injuries were not considered serious.
Police did not have any information on any suspects.
