PEORIA, Ill. — Fire broke out around 12:15 p.m. Monday in the 3800 block of Marbleway Drive in Peoria.
Firefighters found heavy smoke coming from the front door, and fire in the living room.
Everyone inside the home escaped unharmed. Crews had the fire knocked down in about 15 minutes.
Fire was contained to one room, but the home suffered heavy smoke damage.
Investigators believe the cause of the fire was accidental.
The American Red Cross was called in to assist the family of five with temporary housing.
