CHICAGO — Gov. J.B. Pritzker said Monday many companies are re-purposing to create PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) products such as face masks and hand sanitizers.
The workers at these facilities will comply with the six foot distance requirement.
Pritzker said that hospitals and senior living facilities stock pile their own supplies such as masks and gloves.
He asks tattoo parlors and nail salons to contact his office to donate essential supplies.
March 12 was the first and only shipment of PPE supplies to the state from the federal government, and only they received 10% of what was asked for.
