PEORIA, Ill. — Bradley University has announced it will move all classes the rest of the spring semester to online-only.
The scheduled May 16th commencement ceremony has been canceled, too.
“I know this is a huge disappointment, especially for those who are finishing up their careers and are set to graduate in May. This is not the way any of you wanted to end your time at Bradley,” said Dr. Gary Roberts in a video message.
“Those students who have met their requirements will, in fact, graduate, and be receiving their diplomas. It’s just this is a really crummy way to say goodbye to Bradley, and a crummy way to celebrate the tremendous accomplishments you have achieved during your years at Bradley.”
Roberts said the staff would be “brainstorming” an appropriate way to make up for the lack of commencement.
The university said it will be working to adjust room and board costs for students who live on-campus.
