PEORIA, Ill. — In an attempt to slow the spread of the COVID-19 virus, and in observation of social distancing, the Peoria Police Department has suspended its lobby services effective immediately.
Suspended services include: photos for outside government IDs (excluding Family Core), general fingerprinting for public and non-urgent situations, clearance letters for prospective employees, adoptions, Visa applications and more.
Peoria Public Information Officer Amy Dotson said additional efforts to streamline patrol operations to limit exposure to both police personnel and the public are underway.
