PEORIA COUNTY (25News Now) – A no stalking and no contact order against former Creve Coeur Deputy Police Chief Dan Nelson has been dismissed, according to the Peoria County Circuit Clerk’s Office.
The woman who requested the order against Nelson alleged that he used Flock license plate reader cameras to stalk her on multiple occasions.
In her filing, the woman also alleged that former Creve Coeur Police Chief Justin Egan sent Nelson images described as “best points of entry” of her residential property.
The order against Nelson was initially requested Aug. 28.
According to the circuit clerk’s office, the woman filed a motion to dismiss the emergency order without prejudice, which means it could be refiled. A previously scheduled hearing scheduled for Oct. 1 will not be held.
A separate order of protection involving former Chief Egan remains pending.
That order was extended Sept. 17, according to the clerk’s records, and the case was continued to Oct. 27 at 10 a.m.
