PEORIA, Ill. — The winter storm predicted for Tuesday night through Wednesday afternoon may not be as strong in the Peoria area as initially expected.
Four to six inches was originally predicted, but the area expected to get the heaviest amount of snow has moved east, according to News Partner 25 News Chief Meteorologist Chuck Collins.
“We’ll see light snow area-wide Tuesday night through noon Wednesday. Metro Peoria can expect 2 to 4 inches,” he said.
“Areas toward Bloomington-Normal, three to five [inches] and areas toward Galesburg, one to two. Strong northeast winds
will cause blowing and drifting making for difficult travel at times.”
A winter weather advisory was issued at 6 P.M. Tuesday for Peoria Metro.
