PEORIA, Ill. – The Peoria Riverfront Association is asking for your help in voting for the Peoria Riverfront Farmer’s Market as America’s Best.
From now until the end of the month, you can vote online in the America’s Farmers Market Celebration Contest, giving Peoria’s Riverfront Market the chance to be recognized nationally and score up to $2500 cash.
The contest is sponsored by the American Farmland Trust, a national nonprofit dedicated to saving farmland, promoting sound farming practices, and keeping farmers on the land, has run the Celebration for 18 consecutive years, elevating the increasingly essential role farmers markets play in providing communities with access to fresh, locally grown food and connecting farmers directly with their customers.
Peoria’s producer-only market is currently ranked 6th in the nation, but your vote can help it reach the top spot. You can vote now through September 30th, by clicking here:
