PEORIA, Ill. – A 63-year-old man is recovering after being hit while riding his electric bike Saturday night in Peoria.
Peoria Police say it happened around 8:45 p.m. in the 2000 block of N. North Street. The driver took off, but police tracked him down on West McClure.
58-year-old Verdell Montgomery is facing charges of driving under the influence and leaving the scene of a crash that left the victim with a head injury. His injuries were not life-threatening.
