FULTON COUNTY, Ill. (25 News) – A home invasion and attempted murder in a small Fulton County community led to a car chase and crash near Glasford, but authorities are releasing few other details.
The Fulton County Sheriff’s Office said deputies were called shortly before 11 a.m. Saturday to a home in St. David where a male resident was said to be the victim.
Deputies said three suspects entered the house in the 300 block of North Burlington Street, then drove off.
According to the sheriff’s office, deputies spotted the suspects’ vehicle east of Canton.
Deputies chased the vehicle before it crashed north of Glasford. Occupants inside the vehicle were either airlifted by Life Flight helicopter or taken by ambulance to a local hospital.
The sheriff’s office is not releasing the names of the suspects or their conditions, nor are they revealing information about the home invasion and attempted murder.
An Illinois State Police accident reconstruction team was called to the crash scene, and the sheriff’s office expects multiple charges against the suspects.
