PEORIA, Ill. – A man was carried for about a half-mile after suffering an injury on a Peoria-area hiking trail Saturday morning.
Peoria Fire says crews were dispatched just after 9:30 A.M. to the Robinson Hiking Trail.
The victim was found with the help of two drones, and found about two miles in the woods with a non-life-threatening injury.
Crews used a stokes basket to carry the victim for about a half-mile, with a UTV carrying him the rest of the way.
The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
