PEORIA, Ill. – The man accused in a fatal shooting two years ago in South Peoria has been indicted by a grand jury.
22-year-old Jyvonnie Williams was indicted on Tuesday of one count of First Degree Murder. He is charged in the death of 16-year-old Antonio Walker.
Walker was one of six victims in a mass shooting the evening of August 30th, 2023, in the area of Marquette and Westmoreland. Walker died a little over a month later.
Williams allegedly confessed to a witness that he was the first to fire from a stolen SUV connected to the shooting that multiple people fired from, and that he was the driver of the SUV.
