PEORIA, Ill. – The head man for the Peoria Rivermen will stay in the role for a couple more years.
The team announced Monday that Head Coach Jean-Guy Trudel has signed a two-year contract extension, with an additional one-year option after that.
Trudel has served as head coach and general manager since 2013. He has led the Rivermen to President’s Cup championships in 2022 and 2024 and has been in the playoffs every year since becoming head coach.
This past season, Trudel won his fourth SPHL Coach of the Year and became the winningest coach in league history with 402 wins.
Trudel’s 12th season leading the Rivermen in the 2025-26 campaign begins in October.
