LONDON (Reuters) -Britain’s insolvent Lindsey oil refinery faces shutdown within three weeks with the current 1.8 million barrels of crude it has in storage, consultancy Wood Mackenzie told Reuters on Friday.
“However, crude throughputs are likely scaled back already given yesterday’s FCC (fluid catalytic cracker) shutdown, as it is operating in the less profitable hydroskimming configuration,” Woodmac analyst Emma Howsham said.
She added that if the gasoline-making FCC does not restart, operations may cease in the coming days.
