PEORIA Ill. – A man was arrested Friday in Peoria, for allegedly shooting a woman in the leg.
According to Peoria Police, officers were dispatched at around 8:40am to the 1100 block of Northeast Perry in Peoria, on reports of a medical emergency.
When officers arrived, they made contact with an adult female who had sustained a gunshot wound to the leg from an incident that had occurred days ago.
She was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police then attempted to make contact with an adult female and an adult male subject, who were still inside the residence.
Both subjects exited the residence and were detained.
Officers then executed a search warrant – locating ammunition and a firearm inside.
33-year-old Charles McMahan was arrested for Domestic Battery and Reckless Conduct.

According to PPD spokesperson Semone Roth, officers were dispatched at around 8:40am to the 1100 block of Northeast Perry in Peoria, on reports of a medical emergency.
The situation quickly escalated and developed into a domestic investigation.
An adult male was taken into custody.
The investigation is ongoing.
