PEORIA, Ill. – The cause of a house fire in Peoria’s East Bluff from Friday morning is under investigation.
Peoria Fire says heavy fire was seen on the first floor of the three-story home upon arrival to the 1600 block of North Peoria just before 8:15 A.M.
Crews battled intense fire, heat, and low visibility to put the flames out. Additional crews were called in to assist, due to the intensity and the size of the home.
The fire was put out in about 20 minutes.
There was no one inside the house at the time of the fire.
Peoria Fire brought in an investigator and Fire Arson Dog Rock to determine the cause and origin of the fire.
One firefighter was transported for evaluation after suffering minor injuries.
Damage is estimated at $100,000.
