PEORIA, Ill. – Two people are dead after multiple shootings Sunday night in Peoria.
Peoria Police first responded to the 600-block of East Republic after ten shots were fired, finding an adult female with an apparent gunshot wound. She was taken to a local hospital and later pronounced dead.
Officers then responded just before 6:00 P.M. to the 3500-block of Sodus Court after reports of a person shot. A male was found with an apparent gunshot wound and taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police then went to a second residence in the area and found another adult male with an apparent gunshot wound, who was pronounced dead.
Peoria Police says it has not released any information yet regarding whether the shootings are connected.
The shootings are under investigation.
Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood will release the identities of the deceased.
