According 25-News Chief Meteorologist Chuck Collins Peoria was 13-inches ahead for the year.
“It’s safe to say the late summer drought is over”, according to Collins.
A Flood Warning along the Illinois River continues at Peoria.
Wednesday evening, the river at Peoria was at 20.5 ft.
Expect the river to crest about 2 and a half feet above flood stage and will continue to slowly fall over the next several days.
