PEORIA, Ill. — Peoria Police have made an arrest following a homicide on July 31 at 9:14 a.m.
Police were able to identify 29-year-old Rodney Herron as a suspect in the incident before taking him into custody Thursday in the 700 block of West Hampshire Road.
Herron was taken into custody without incident and transported to Peoria Police Department for interview purposes.
Herron was then arrested for First Degree Murder and Unlawful Possession of a Weapon by a Felon.
30 year-old Darius M. Dawson was pronounced dead at the scene on July 31 after being shot multiple times in the 2700 block of West Latrobe.
