PEORIA, Ill. – Multiple first responders were on the scene of a church collapse Saturday morning in South Peoria.
Peoria Police says the collapse occurred at the United Fellowship Ministries, with officers being called to the scene at 7:49 A.M.
25 News reports only two walls of the church were standing when Peoria Fire crews arrived. Nearby power lines were also damaged along with a possible gas leak. Buildings in the area were evacuated.
Ameren and code enforcement officers also responded to the scene.
The collapse is under investigation, with weather being looked at as a possible cause. An emergency demolition is also possible.

No one was inside the church.
