PEORIA, Ill. – Peoria Police say the Fourth of July holiday kept officers busy – with at least six what they called “significant incidents” – mostly between late Tuesday night and early
Wednesday morning, with one exception.
Five of the six incidents were gun related. At least three people were injured.
Two of the three arrived at a hospital with non-life-threatening injures before 4:00 p.m. Tuesday after a ShotSpotter alert indicated three rounds fired on West Malone.

A number of arrests were made during a number of shooting incidents.
The sixth incident was related to fireworks going off at an unpermitted block party where 150 people were at on East Corrington.
