PEORIA, Ill. – Two juveniles were treated for stab wounds after Peoria Police broke up a large fight Monday evening.
Officers responded to Atlantic and McClure just before 10:30 P.M. on reports of juveniles fighting in the street. The crowd was reported to be around 200 people.
Pepper balls were used by officers to try and break up the fight after multiple commands by officers to disperse were given.
A juvenile with a stab wound was found by officers and was taken to a local hospital. A second juvenile with a stab wound used a private vehicle to go to a local hospital.
The injuries to both juveniles are not considered to be life-threatening.
