PEORIA, Ill. – Peoria Police are investigating a reported vehicular hijacking from early Tuesday morning.
Officers were flagged down by an adult male near Owens Center just after 4:15 A.M.
The male told officers that two unknown juveniles robbed him and stole his vehicle in the area of N. Knollridge and Hines Place.
The juveniles reportedly had handguns and were wearing masks.
The victim told police the juveniles assaulted him, stole personal belongings, and fled the area in his vehicle.
The victim suffered minor injuries.
The vehicle was later found unoccupied in the area of W. Crestwood off of Sheridan Road.
