PEORIA, Ill. – A Peoria father and son were arrested after drugs and a gun were allegedly found in a car the two were stopped in.
Peoria Police say they pulled over 18-year-old Jahbrae Harper’s vehicle after it was seen rolling through a stop sign at Webster and Howett around 11:45 p.m. Thursday.
Harper allegedly had a loaded gun in the car while his father and passenger, 42-year-old Aubrae Harper, allegedly had a small amount of cannabis on him.
While prosecutors did not charge Jahbrae Harper with Possession of a Firearm without a Valid FOID Card, jail records indicate he was processed on a Woodford County warrant and a charge of Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, and remains jailed.
Aubrae Harper was released from jail after being given a Notice to Appear in Court on a charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance.
