PEORIA, Ill. – One person remains wanted, while two others were arrested, following a shooting early Saturday morning in South Peoria.
Police say a ShotSpotter alert was triggered at 1:33 a.m. after a couple rounds were fired near Western and Martin.
A vehicle, seen fleeing the area at a high rate of speed, crashed into a fence near Western and Washington but later was stopped.
One of three people fled on foot and remains wanted, but police say a loaded handgun and spent shell casings were found inside.
18-year-olds Ethan Haynes of Pekin and Blayden Shutt of Bartonville were arrested.
Both face weapons-related charges while Haynes also was charged with causing a Hit and Run accident, and Reckless Driving.
Both have since been released from custody.
