FARMINGTON, Ill. – Authorities in Fulton County say firefighters had to put out a fire at a solar farm.
Farmington firefighters say they had to deal with the fire Friday afternoon — what was called in as a grass fire on Illinois 116 near the solar farm.
Turns out, they say, the fire started in an inverter panel and spread to the grass.
No one was hurt.
Officials say the fire in the panel was put out using dry chemicals.
