PEORIA, Ill. – Peoria is asking the community to help shape its priorities for the next few years.
The city will be hosting morning and afternoon sessions on June 1st and 2nd at the Peoria Civic Center Ballroom for its Strategic Planning Kickoff.
The strategic plan sets the priorities for a city for the next two to five years. Some of the topics that could be addressed include neighborhood development, infrastructure, and economic development.
“The success of our strategic planning lies in robust public input. Community members are encouraged to attend, to voice their thoughts, and contribute to the future of our city,” said Mayor Rita Ali in a statement.
The sessions are open to residents, elected officials, community and business leaders, employees, and other stakeholders. Those who wish to participate need to RSVP on the city’s website by May 26th.
