UPDATE — Tazewell County Coroner Charles Hanley has identified the motorcycle rider who died after a crash Monday morning as 20-year-old Samuel Rodgers, of Mason County.
The Tazewell County Sheriff’s Office was notified of the single-vehicle crash at 5:52 a.m. on Springfield Road, south of Queenwood Road, in Groveland.
Preliminary autopsy results, according to Hanley, show Rodgers’ death was caused by multiple blunt force injuries.
The toxicology report is pending.

GROVELAND, Ill. — Morton Police confirms that one person is dead after a motorcycle accident in Groveland in the area of Springfield and Queenwood roads.
The crash happened just before 6 a.m. Monday.
A stretch of Springfield Road near Queenwood Road was closed for about 2 hours for accident reconstruction.
The victim’s identity has not been released pending notification of family.
