PEORIA, Ill. – A Peoria County jury has convicted a man in connection with a shooting outside a liquor store.
Court records indicate a jury Wednesday found David Dillard, 27, guilty of counts of Aggravated Battery, Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm, and Possession of a Weapon by a Felon.
Dillard shot a then-28-year-old man in the head in the parking lot of Laramie Liquors in March of 2021.
The man, according to a separate lawsuit filed, was left legally blind.
Dillard is scheduled to be sentenced May 31st.
