MAPLETON, Ill. – A Hanna City man is dead after he was riding a motorcycle and struck a deer.
Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood says Todd Sweet, 51, was pronounced dead late Monday night at a Peoria hospital.
The crash happened around 5:30 Saturday morning on West Lancaster Road in Mapleton.
Harwood says Sweet’s medical condition declined in the days following the crash, and the cause of death was multiple blunt force trauma injuries.
A toxicology test is pending.
