BARTONVILLE, Ill. – A student has been removed from Bartonville Grade School after the student allegedly had a bullet and more in their possession.
Bartonville Grade School superintendent Brad Jockisch says a search of a student Tuesday morning resulted in the finding of the bullet, and a search of the student’s locker discovered a BB gun and a knife.
Jockisch says there was no direct or continued threat toward students or staff, and he says no more specific details about what happened can be shared.
Jockisch says parents need to take the time to talk with their kids about how important it is for them to report suspicious behavior or concerns they may have.
