Firefighters battled an early morning apartment fire in Peoria Heights Friday morning.
Crews were called to the Forrest Park Apartments, in the 1500 block of E. Gardner Lane, around 4:30 a.m. when fire broke out in the complex.
No one was reportedly inside when the fire began.
Crews were able to put out the fire quickly, but the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
