FULTON COUNTY, Ill. – Damage in Fulton County from Tuesday night’s severe weather is still as bad as anticipated — but, thankfully, no loss of life.
That is according to the latest update from the Fulton County Emergency Services and Disaster Agency, who says only four people were injured when at least one and if not more tornadoes swept through the county..
One of those injured, however, is reported to be hospitalized in critical condition.
Damage assessments are continuing in some of the hardest-hit areas, including Bryant.
A water boil order continues there, as does an order limiting water usage to emergencies only.
The Salvation Army is also in town providing assistance.
Parts of the northern part of Lewistown and Table Grove also sustained significant damage from the storms.
Meantime, according to a news release, Tazewell County Clerk John Ackerman is offering help and support to his counterparts in Fulton County, as work is continuing Wednesday to count the votes from the Consolidated Election — which came to a halt as storms went through.
