CHILLICOTHE, Ill. — Flooding occurred Thursday morning on Rt. 29 in Chillicothe. Rocks blocked the northbound lane of Rt. 29, with water accumulating underneath the railroad viaduct.
Rt. 17 between Sparland and Lacon also experienced flooding Thursday morning near the Lacon Bridge, which is now closed.
The Peoria metro area is expected to see another 1-2 inches of rain by Friday night.
