PEORIA, Ill. – The annual Official Spring Home Show will take place at the Peoria Civic Center this weekend.
The show features 138 exhibitors over three days in the Exhibit Hall showing off the newest products in their fields.
Executive Director Lisa Scott says the Home Show will give people a hands-on opportunity to experience those products.
“You could go to a store and look at products for your home and weekend. But when you come to the Home Show, you get to see them all in one place,” Scott said. “And then you also get to talk to those professionals, to the contractors, who can get you on their schedule and get their work done for you.”
Scott adds that the show is not just for those looking to start a project soon. It can also inspire those to imagine what kind of house they can have.
“They can dream about a do-it-yourself project. Or something that, they want a new deck or new patio, but they know they’re not going to be able to work into their personal situation for two or three years. But they come here and they look and they dream,” Scott said.
For the first time this year, the Midwest Garden Gal will give presentations on topics such as gardening for cheap and vegetable. The show will also feature the Disc-Connected K9 Frisbee Show all three days.
The show starts on Friday at 4:00 P.M. and runs until 9:00 P.M. Saturday’s hours are 10:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. And the final day on Sunday is 10:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.
Tickets are $7 for adults, $3 for seniors 60 and older, and kids under 18 are free.
