***UPDATE*** 7/1/21 10:30 P.M.
Maricle was taken into custody Thursday around 1:30 on N. Brentfield Dr. in Dunlap.
He was charged with aggravated battery with a firearm, no FOID card, aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, and also served with a valid Peoria County warrant for past traffic offenses.
During Maricle’s arrest, 22-year-old Eden Conner was also nabbed for unlawful use of a weapon, related to a separate case.
The victim as of Thursday night remained in critical condition.

PEORIA, Ill. — Peoria Police responded to a shooting Wednesday evening at 7:52 p.m. regarding a male shot in the 800 block of NE Monroe.
Officers found the adult male unresponsive when they arrived on scene with multiple gunshot wounds.
Emergency life saving measures were performed at the scene by first responders before transporting the man to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Investigators developed information that led to the identification of a suspect, Antrale Maricle.
Maricle is a 19-year-old male, 6’2″ tall, and 300 pounds. He also reportedly wears his hair in red braids.
Investigators request anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Maricle to contact Peoria Police immediately at 9-1-1 or Detective Roberto Vasquez (309) 494-8369 immediately.
According to police, Maricle should not be approached and considered armed and dangerous.
