PEORIA, Ill. — It’s unclear what caused a car to crash into a building in Peoria near the corner of University and Glen, across from the Metro Centre, early Thursday morning.
The building is the former Glen Haven Shopping Center, which is being transitioned into a new car wash.
Officers and tow trucks were seen pulling the vehicle from down the stairs of an entrance to the building.
Police told news partner 25 News that one person was taken to the hospital.
Further details are expected to be released later on Thursday.
