PEORIA, Ill. — What’s legal and what’s illegal?
Peoria Police are canvassing the city again this year, posting red placards in its neighborhoods to help educate citizens about personal fireworks.
“Individuals found in violation of the City of Peoria Fireworks Ordinance are subject to a $250 fine,” according to Public Information Officer Amy Dotson.
There is an extensive list of approved consumer fireworks and those that are prohibited on the Peoria Police Department’s Facebook page.
