SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — With the state of Illinois officially in the Bridge Phase of Restore Illinois and marching towards a full reopening by mid-June, the Illinois Department of Public Health on Monday announced a couple of statistics on the proper trajectory for a full reopening.
For one, the 24-hour new case count for the entire state was 946. This marked the first time since Jul. 21 the state had a case count under 1,000.
Six people died.
Two, with the 32,253 vaccine doses administered between Sunday and Monday, 64% of all Illinois adults have now received at least one shot.
A total of 1,512 people as of Sunday night were hospitalized with the virus. 398 of those patients were in intensive care, and 220 were on ventilators.
Labs throughout the state collected 33,148 specimens to be tested.
