PEORIA, Ill. – A Peoria County grand jury is charging a man with only some of the counts he originally faced in a felony sex case.
The grand jury this week filed two charges of Child Pornography — one a Class-X felony and the other a Class-1 Felony — against Carlos Montoya-Bustamante, 20.
Charging documents allege Montoya-Bustamante had sexual contact with a youth under the age of 18 during the month of July, and that he recorded it.
Court records indicate counts of Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse and Criminal Sexual Assault have been dismissed by prosecutors.
Montoya-Bustamante is in the Peoria County Jail, and will be arraigned January 5.
