SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) Thursday reported more than 62% of adult Illinoisans have at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
Overall, more than 10.1 million doses have been administered in the state. More than 68,000 doses were administered Wednesday, but doses administered at CVS were not reported due to a reporting issue.
IDPH Thursday also reported 1,918 new cases of COVID-19, including 35 additional deaths.
The preliminary seven-day statewide test positivity is at 3.2%.
As of Wednesday night, 1,765 patients were in Illinois hospitals with the virus. Of those, 465 were in the ICU and 236 were on ventilators.
As of Thursday afternoon, Gov. JB Pritzker had not released any new guidance relating to the news of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) relaxing mask-guidance for fully-vaccinated Americans.
