SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — Gov. J.B. Pritzker and the Illinois Department of Public Health have announced the state of Illinois on Friday will officially enter the Bridge Phase of Restore Illinois.
Capacity limits under the Bridge Phase are expanded for businesses, dining, offices, events, conferences and gatherings.
The exact metrics are 30% capacity for indoor dining, and 50% capacity outdoors.
Spectator events may have 60% capacity.
Offices, personal care, retail, and amusement parks are also allowed to increase to 60% capacity.
By its very definition, the phase is a “bridge” to Phase Five, which the IDPH has titled “Illinois Restored.” This is a full reopening, with no capacity limits.
Pritzker said barring any setbacks, including increased COVID-19 hospitalizations, Illinois could fully reopen as early as Fri., June 11.
