PEORIA, Ill. — Broadway is coming back.
The Ameren Broadway Series will return to the Peoria Civic Center Theater on Friday, November 5.
Civic Center General Manager Rik Edgar told WMBD’s “The Greg and Dan Show”, the first show of the series will be a one-night only performance by Renee Elise Goldsberry, who played Angelica in the blockbuster show “Hamilton”.
“Two weeks after that, we’re bringing ‘Beautiful’ back. It was one of our two shows that are coming back to our series that were sold-out prior to the pandemic,” Edgar said.
The Broadway series also will include “Turning 15 on the Road to Freedom”, “Hairspray” and The Blue Man Group.
The season will end May 31-June 1 with a musical adaptation of “An Officer and a Gentleman”, based on the movie starring Richard Gere and Deborah Winger.
Season tickets for the Ameren Broadway Series go on sale Thursday, May 13.
