SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — The Thursday-Friday COVID-19 reporting period in Illinois brought another 3,000-plus case count.
3,207 people throughout the state tested positive. 33 died.
The daily average for vaccines administered for the last seven days continued to drop. 103,717 doses during the reporting period were administered, but the average dropped to 92,747.
A total of 2,024 people as of Thursday night were in hospitals because of the virus. Of them, 475 were in intensive care, and 235 were breathing with the help of a ventilator.
Labs collected 108,063 specimens to be tested.
